Town Board Advances Data Center Moratorium

The Town of New Glarus Board on Wednesday voted to recommend a moratorium on data centers while also revisiting concerns over speed limits on township roads and delaying action on a storage container permit application.

The board meeting was held at the Chalet Landhaus Conference Room in New Glarus.

One of the more notable actions of the evening involved a discussion on a possible data center moratorium. Following discussion, board members voted to recommend the county moving forward with the moratorium, though additional steps and details are still expected as the process continues.
