Town of New Glarus Seeks Candidate for Open Board Seat

The Town of New Glarus is seeking candidates to fill an open supervisor position on the Town Board following the resignation of longtime Chairman Chris Narveson.

In a notice posted Thursday morning, the town said Narveson’s resignation became effective Sept. 9, 2026. His departure creates an opening on the board as officials work through the transition in leadership.

Interested candidates must live in the township and are being asked to submit a letter of interest and resume to clerk@townofnewglaruswi.gov. Applications must be received no later than Sept. 30.

The vacancy follows Narveson’s resignation Wednesday after nearly two decades on the Town Board and more than a decade as chairman.
