Track Returns to New Glarus Tomorrow, Final Chance at Home

Track & field is coming back home to New Glarus next week, and local fans will have a chance to see the Glarner Knights compete on their own track for one of the season’s early Capitol South meets. The meet is scheduled for Tuesday, April 14, with field events and the first running events beginning at 4:15 p.m. at the Glarner Community Complex at New Glarus High School.

The meet will feature Cambridge, New Glarus and Waterloo high school track & field teams, giving the community another look at a New Glarus track program now competing in its inaugural season after a hiatus that dates back to 1989. It’s also the final chance to see them at home this season. Admission is free for spectators, making it an easy chance for families, alumni and local sports fans to come out and see what the excitement is about.
