11th Avenue Paving Begins Saturday in New Glarus

Paving on 11th Avenue is scheduled to begin Saturday, Oct. 3, as one of New Glarus’ largest street and utility projects of the year moves into a new phase, according to Public Works Director Scott McNett.

Crews are expected to work Saturday until early afternoon, then return Monday, Oct. 5, to lay the surface coat. McNett said crews will work one block at a time to help minimize disruption for residents.

The village said the road will be open for driving immediately after the pavement is placed, reducing the amount of time individual blocks are closed to traffic.
