UPDATE (8:27 a.m.): Green County released another batch of unofficial results shortly after 1 a.m. Wednesday, bringing the number of ballots reported to 4,058. However, results from several municipalities — including both the Village and Town of New Glarus and the City of Monroe — were still missing.

In the Democratic primary for Assembly District 50, New Glarus’ Bill Oemichen had 984 Green County votes, compared with 733 for Josh Mittness and 497 for Bryna Caves. In Senate District 17, Jenna Jacobson led Green County with 1,428 votes, followed by New Glarus’ Corrine Hendrickson with 769 and Lisa White with 158.

Notably, those totals still do not include votes from New Glarus, the home community of both Oemichen and Hendrickson.

UPDATE: As of 12:23 a.m., all but 10 Wisconsin counties reported more than 90% of their votes. Green County remained the slowest-reporting county in the state, with just 29% of its vote reported — the lowest percentage of any county.

Preliminary election results late Tuesday showed Jenna Jacobson with a substantial lead over New Glarus’ Corrine Hendrickson in the Democratic primary for Wisconsin’s 17th Senate District, while fellow New Glarus candidate Bill Oemichen was leading a three-way Democratic race for Assembly District 50.

With an estimated 51.2% of the Senate District 17 vote counted, Decision Desk HQ reported Jacobson with 7,851 votes, or 61.5%, followed by Hendrickson with 3,327 votes, or 26.1%. Lisa White had 1,586 votes, or 12.4%.

The Green County portion of the race was also favoring Jacobson in incomplete returns. With eight of 24 county precincts reporting shortly after 10:20 p.m., Jacobson had 581 votes, Hendrickson 236 and White 66.
