Bank of New Glarus Evansville Branch Takes Shape
Construction has moved quickly on The Bank of New Glarus’ new Evansville branch, with the building now framed and largely roofed as the hometown bank prepares to expand into Rock County with a planned opening later this fall in 2026.
EVANSVILLE, Wis. — Four months after demolition began at the future home of The Bank of New Glarus’ Evansville branch, the project has moved well beyond the clearing stage, with the new building now prominently taking shape along North Union Street.
Recent photos from the site show the structure fully framed and sheathed, with substantial portions of the roof installed and the drive-through area clearly visible. Window and door openings remain unfinished, and exterior finishes and significant interior work still lie ahead.
The roughly 3,548-square-foot branch is being built at 50 North Union St., between Culver’s and Casey’s on Evansville’s north side. Plans approved by the city call for two drive-through lanes, customer parking and interior space for teller service, offices, conference space and support areas.
The Bank of New Glarus has said publicly that it expects the new office to open this fall. The Evansville location will extend the New Glarus-based institution into Rock County for the first time.
