Statewide results showed Green County at just 29% reported shortly after midnight. All but 10 of Wisconsin’s 72 counties had reported more than 90% of their expected vote totals by that point, leaving Green County well behind the rest of the state.

The delay is being caused by a communication problem between Green County’s election server and its results reporting software, according to a press release issued by the county late Tuesday night.

Results from 16 municipalities had been successfully transmitted to the county server, but the county said its election equipment vendor, Liberty Vote, determined the server and results reporting program were not communicating. The transmitted results remained in encrypted files that county staff could not access for reporting.
