Disorderly Conduct Cases Highlight July Police Report
New Glarus police handled 409 calls in July, including three disorderly conduct incidents, three traffic crashes and a mental health response, while officers collected 31.5 pounds of medications and prepared for quarterly pursuit training.
The New Glarus Police Department responded to 409 calls for service in July, according to the department’s monthly report submitted Aug. 5 by Chief Jeff Sturdevant.
That was slightly below the 419 calls recorded in July 2025 and brought the department’s year-to-date total to 2,753 calls for service.
Police also reported 32 assists to other agencies or departments, 87 traffic and municipal citations, 58 traffic warnings, 66 parking citations and three traffic accidents during the month. Two people were incarcerated or jailed.
