Construction crews were back at work Saturday as the Village of New Glarus' downtown streetscape project continued to take shape along First Street and nearby blocks.

The weekend work comes as the project expands beyond its original scope to include additional terrace replacements, curb and gutter improvements, and handicap-accessible ramps after village officials determined the work could be completed within the project's budget.
