Fall Nationals Donates $15,000 for Second K-9
Green County Fall Nationals donated $15,000 to help the Green County Sheriff’s Office add a second K-9 team, expanding support for missing-person searches, narcotics detection, suspect apprehension and neighboring agencies across the county.
MONROE, Wis. — The Green County Fall Nationals Board presented the Green County Sheriff’s Office with a $15,000 donation last week to help the department purchase and support a second K-9 unit.
The donation was formally accepted during the July 14 Green County Board of Supervisors meeting. The new K-9 team will join Sgt. Zack Degner and K-9 Ali, expanding the department’s ability to deploy a police dog when needed.
According to the sheriff’s office, the additional K-9 will assist deputies with locating missing people, detecting illegal narcotics, apprehending suspects and supporting law enforcement agencies throughout the region.
“This remarkable contribution is an investment in the safety and security of our community,” the Green County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post thanking the organization.
