Former New Glarus Officer, Monticello Chief Arrested After Monroe Crash
Darlington Police Chief Szvon Conway, who previously served as a New Glarus police officer and Monticello police chief, was arrested Friday night following a hit-and-run crash in Monroe and is accused of operating while intoxicated.
MONROE, Wis. — Darlington Police Chief Szvon D. Conway was arrested Friday night following a hit-and-run crash in Monroe and is facing allegations of operating while intoxicated, according to the Monroe Police Department.
Conway, 48, of Monroe, previously served as a police officer in New Glarus and later as police chief in Monticello before becoming Darlington's police chief.
According to a press release issued by the Monroe Police Department, officers were dispatched at 10:36 p.m. Friday to the intersection of 13th Street and 20th Avenue for a reported single-vehicle hit-and-run crash.
