Highway 69 Enters Quiet Stretch Before Paving

Highway 69 and the County C roundabout are open again, the summer detour has largely ended and no work is scheduled for the post-Labor Day week before rural milling and paving begin Sept. 14 under flagging operations, bringing daytime delays.

Highway 69 Enters Quiet Stretch Before Paving

Highway 69 traffic is moving again between Monroe and New Glarus, but the construction project is not over.

The County C/Urban Road roundabout is open, the full summer detour has all but ended, and the project appears to have entered a quieter stretch between Labor Day weekend and the next major phase of work.

No work was scheduled during the post-Labor Day week, according to the most recent construction update from Jim Grender, P.E., of CGC, Inc. Grender, who has been sending weekly reports throughout the project, did not issue a new update this week.

That fits with the previous schedule, which listed no work for the week of Sept. 7 and pointed instead to Sept. 14 as the next date drivers should watch.
