Highway 69 Paving Delayed by Rain

Wet weather has pushed Highway 69 mainline milling and paving back one week, but drivers should still expect flagging delays Wednesday as crews do shoulder widening and asphalt work north of Monticello.

Highway 69 Paving Delayed by Rain

Mainline milling and paving on Highway 69 north of Monticello has been canceled for this week because of rain, according to an updated weekly construction notice from Jim Grender, P.E., of CGC, Inc.

The work is now anticipated to begin Monday, Sept. 21.

The delay affects the larger milling and paving operation that had been expected to begin this week between Monticello and New Glarus. That work is still expected to be done under flagging operations once it begins.

Drivers will not avoid construction delays entirely this week, however.
