Highway 69 Roundabout Work Shifts Traffic Next Week

A new traffic pattern is coming to the Highway 69 construction zone near Monticello as crews continue work on the future roundabout at County C and Urban Road.

Drivers traveling between New Glarus and Monroe should expect a traffic shift early next week as construction enters its next phase. According to project engineer Jim Grender of CGC Inc., traffic is expected to move onto newly constructed temporary pavement on Tuesday, June 23, weather permitting.

The Highway 69 reconstruction project stretches approximately 12.5 miles from Bushnell Creek near Monroe to Cow Path Lane south of New Glarus and includes resurfacing, bridge repairs, culvert replacements, new pavement markings, guardrail work and intersection improvements.
