In-Person Absentee Voting Opens Tuesday
New Glarus-area voters may begin casting in-person absentee ballots Tuesday for Wisconsin’s Aug. 11 partisan primary. Voting hours vary by municipality, and most requests for mailed ballots must reach municipal clerks by 5 p.m. Aug. 6.
In-person absentee voting opens Tuesday, July 28, for New Glarus-area residents who want to vote before Wisconsin’s Aug. 11 partisan primary.
Village of New Glarus residents may vote at Village Hall, 319 Second St., from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays. Extended hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. will be offered Friday, Aug. 7.
Town of New Glarus residents may vote at the new Town Garage, N8799 Hayes Lane, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays through Aug. 6. Hours on Aug. 7 will be noon to 5 p.m.
Schedules differ in surrounding municipalities, and some towns offer absentee voting only by appointment. Voters should contact their municipal clerk before visiting or consult New Glarus 360’s previously published guide to local absentee voting hours.
