Motorcyclist Injured After Striking Deer on County C

New Glarus Fire and Green County EMS responded Saturday to a motorcycle crash in the Town of Washington after an Argyle woman struck a deer, lost control and was thrown from the motorcycle. Her injuries were reported as non-life-threatening.

Motorcyclist Injured After Striking Deer on County C

MONTICELLO, Wis. — An Argyle woman was injured Saturday after the motorcycle she was riding struck a deer on County Highway C in the Town of Washington.

According to the Green County Sheriff’s Office, deputies, New Glarus Fire and Green County EMS were called at 12:35 p.m. to the W6800 block of County Highway C for the crash.

Investigators determined Rebecca K. Granberg, 50, was traveling east when she struck a deer in the roadway and lost control of the motorcycle. The motorcycle crossed the centerline, entered the ditch and overturned.

Granberg was ejected from the motorcycle and suffered injuries that authorities said were not life-threatening. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
