New Glarus Hotel Hires General Manager, Targets November Opening
Metcalf will begin Aug. 17, bringing more than 25 years of restaurant leadership, operational management and financial experience as the historic New Glarus Hotel prepares for a targeted mid-November opening.
The New Glarus Hotel & Restaurant has hired Casey Metcalf as its general manager, filling a key leadership position as the historic property moves closer to its planned mid-November opening. Metcalf will officially begin his new role Aug. 17.
“We are excited to share that the New Glarus Hotel officially has a general manager,” Managing Member and President Christina Bleifuss said. “This is a big step forward for the project as we are moving fast into opening preparation, operations, team building and guest experience.”
Metcalf brings more than 25 years of experience in restaurant leadership, operations and financial management. A graduate of Le Cordon Bleu, prestigious culinary school, he has helped open six restaurants, managed hospitality operations across multiple locations and led teams of more than 100 employees.
His background includes developing the systems, staffing structures and financial controls needed to provide a strong guest experience while building a sustainable hospitality business.
