New Glarus Picks Up More Than Half an Inch of Rain
A late-June rain event delivered more than a half-inch of precipitation to New Glarus, pushing the village above 7 inches for the month as forecasters call for a dry start to the week before showers and thunderstorms return by midweek.
New Glarus received 0.54 inches of rain during the past two days, bringing the community's month-to-date total to 7.15 inches as of 10:56 p.m. Sunday..
The latest rainfall adds to what has already been a notably wet June across southern Wisconsin. New Glarus remains among the wetter reporting locations in the region, with monthly rainfall totals now exceeding 7 inches.
