Green County Extends Internet Aid Program

MONROE, Wis. — Green County Development Corporation, working with the Green County IT Department, has secured additional funding to continue a home internet reimbursement program for seniors and people with disabilities.

The program provides qualifying Green County residents, including those in New Glarus, with a $150 reimbursement to help offset the cost of home internet service. Participants may reapply every three months as long as funding remains available.

Applicants must complete a simple application and provide copies of three months of paid home internet bills. GCDC did not specify how much additional funding has been added or how long the new funding is expected to last.

The program initially opened April 13 and has been offered on a first-come, first-served basis, according to information published by the Green County Aging and Disability Resource Center.
