New Glarus Town Board Sets Land Division Hearing
The Town of New Glarus will hold an Aug. 12 public hearing on a proposed 4.36-acre land division along Farmers Grove Road that would create a non-residential lot, preserve it as open space and prohibit future residential development.
The New Glarus Town Board will hold a public hearing Wednesday, Aug. 12, on a proposed land division involving property along W6897 Farmers Grove Road.
The hearing will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the new New Glarus Town Garage, N8799 Hayes Lane. The application was submitted by the Donald J. and Susan Halvorsen Revocable Trust and involves Parcel No. 0248.0000.
The proposal would create one non-residential lot containing approximately 4.36 acres, or about 3.81 acres after excluding the Farmers Grove Road right of way. The property is located in Section 32 of the town and generally encompasses a former quarry. Access would continue from Farmers Grove Road.
No home or other residential building site is proposed as part of the division. Documents prepared for the town state that the property would instead be maintained as open space.
