Ott Haus Pub & Grill has new owners.

Hallie Weintraub and Jake Blumer, a husband-and-wife team with years of local hospitality experience, closed Friday on the purchase of the longtime New Glarus tavern at 406 2nd St.

The couple purchased the business from HBT Holdings LLC, owned by Amber and Dave Tierman. Their alcohol beverage license application is expected to be considered by the New Glarus Village Board tomorrow evening, July 8.

Weintraub and Blumer said they hope to reopen quickly, keep familiar faces behind the bar and preserve much of what locals already know about the business, including its Friday fish fry.
