Power Outage South of New Glarus
More than 2,100 Alliant Energy customers were without power Monday morning, with outages reported in places from County Highway NN south of New Glarus through Monticello and into parts of Monroe.
UPDATE: As of 12:00 p.m. all but 19 customers have had power restored.
UPDATE: 11:30 a.m. has come and gone. Some people are reporting power has been restored. The newest estimate for when power will be restored to others is 1:00 p.m. Also, Monroe Fire Department reportedly dispatched to Monroe Hospital for people trapped in an elevator.
A widespread power outage was affecting more than 2,100 Alliant Energy customers in southern Green County on Monday morning, July 13.
Alliant Energy reported 2,137 customers without power across 19 outages. The outages began at approximately 9:18 a.m.
One person reported power surges at 3:00 a.m. in the Monroe area. Residents also reported losing power along Fairview Road near Monticello and at locations within Monticello, including a local bank. Parts of Monroe were also reportedly affected, including the Green County Justice Center.
