Primrose Board Takes No Action on EMS

The Town of Primrose continued reviewing its emergency medical service options Monday but made no changes to its current service arrangement. The board also postponed selecting a new heating system for the town garage while additional information and estimates are collected.

Primrose Board Takes No Action on EMS

The Town of Primrose Board of Supervisors discussed emergency medical services during its Aug. 3 meeting but took no formal action. The town currently contracts with New Glarus Emergency Medical Services and must provide notice by Oct. 1 if it intends to leave the agreement.

A small number of residents attended the meeting and commented on the EMS issue. The board said it will continue gathering information before deciding to make any changes with its current provider. 

The board plans to meet with New Glarus EMS representatives to review service capabilities, finances and contract questions. EMS services are expected to remain on future agendas as the town gathers information and considers its options.
