Town of New Glarus Delays Several Decisions After Stormy Day
With only three board members in attendance following Wednesday's severe storms, the Town of New Glarus postponed action on several major agenda items, including road speed limits, garage cameras and polling place changes.
After a day of strong thunderstorms, fallen trees and scattered power outages across portions of the New Glarus area, the Town of New Glarus Board still convened Wednesday evening for its regular monthly meeting.
However, with only three of the board's five members in attendance, several significant decisions were postponed until a future special meeting expected within the next couple of weeks.
Town Clerk-Treasurer Darla Kramer said several items were discussed but held for a future meeting, when more board members are expected to be present. That included a possible speed limit change on town roads, which officials are still reviewing to determine how many signs would be needed and what the cost would be.
