Weekly Highway 69 and Area Road Construction Update
A one-day seal coating project on Highway 59 is the newest traffic note for July 7, while the larger Highway 69 closure remains set for July 13. Work will be from County Highway FF all the way east to Highway 104. There will be partial lane closures and flaggers out during this time.
Drivers in the New Glarus, Monticello and Monroe area have a new road project to watch this week, even as the larger Highway 69 closure remains on track for July 13.
The Green County Highway Department has informed project officials that, weather permitting, crews plan to seal coat Highway 59 on Tuesday, July 7. The work will be from County Highway FF all the way east to Highway 104. There will be partial lane closures and flaggers out during this time.
Partial lane closures and flaggers are expected during the Highway 59 work. The project is expected to take one day.
On Highway 69 itself, there are no major changes this week to the overall construction schedule. The most important item remains the same: Highway 69 is still expected to close to through traffic starting Sunday night or Monday morning, July 13.
