Village Board to Consider Blasting Permit, Street Work
The New Glarus Village Board will meet Wednesday to consider a Prairie House blasting permit, street and parking changes, Lions Club park projects, a food truck permit, urban forestry grants and a closed-session review of non-union employee wages.
The New Glarus Village Board will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, at Village Hall, 319 Second St., with several permits, public works projects and park improvements on the agenda.
Among the new business is a blasting permit application for Prairie House Senior at 1003 Elmer Road. The board will also consider a food truck permit application for Persephone Reigns and a special event permit application for the New Glarus Car Show.
Public Works and Safety items include an amendment to village parking regulations addressing limitations on parking during certain times. The board will also consider a change order for milling and overlay work at Highway 69 and 11th Avenue and approval of a bid for the village’s 2026 mill/overlay and asphalt pavement project.
