Village Board to Consider Prairie Haus Phase II Agreement
Senior housing, Village Hall renovation plans, updated bidding rules and permits for Firefest and Art in the Park are among the items New Glarus trustees are expected to discuss at Wednesday night’s Village Board meeting.
With senior housing, Village Hall renovations and new bidding rules on the agenda, the New Glarus Village Board is scheduled to meet Wednesday evening to consider several items that could shape future development and village operations while also approving permits for upcoming community events.
The board will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, at Village Hall.
One of the most anticipated agenda items is consideration of a development agreement for the proposed Prairie House Senior Development. Village officials say the agreement was prepared following review by village staff, the village attorney, planner, engineer, financial advisor and the development team. While a copy of the agreement was not included in the public agenda packet, it is expected to be available before the meeting. It will likely include an agreement related to public improvements and detail the payment in lieu of taxes (PILOT) the developer will be pay to the Village each year. The conditional use permit and site plan were approved for at a previous Village Board and Plan Commission meeting.
