Village Continues Work on Floral Clock Redesign
Trustee Peggy Kruse said the New Glarus Floral Clock redesign is still moving forward, with the village reviewing costs, utilities and possible temporary signage while the project remains unfinished.
A report given during last month’s New Glarus Village Board meeting offered a clearer picture of where the Floral Clock redesign stands, including who is guiding the final design decisions and what the village hopes to accomplish with the project.
Trustee Peggy Kruse told the board that Brenda’s Blumenladen would facilitate the final design decisions with the Village for the Floral Clock, after the Village Board gave Brenda authority to help make those decisions before the project returns to the New Glarus Historic Preservation Commission for review.
The village is looking for a design that will not create additional maintenance demands for village staff, while still providing a strong visual impact throughout the year.
