Historic New Glarus Town Hall Gets New Life
The 1886 former town hall on Second Street has been restored with preserved historic details, modern rental units and new life for one of New Glarus’ landmark buildings.
The old historic New Glarus Town Hall located at 206 Second Street has been given a new lease on life, thanks to a major renovation led by New Glarus native and property owner Brandon Legler.
Built in 1886, the two-story balloon-framed structure has long been a cornerstone of the community, serving as the seat of town government, a meeting hall for the Ancient Order of United Workmen (AOUW), and it has even housed the town’s jail and hook & ladder wagon. Now, with a combination of careful restoration and modern updates, the building is ready for its next chapter.
