New Glarus Summer School Session 1 Ends After Two Weeks of Learning
Students spent two weeks building academic skills while exploring sports, technology, arts, outdoor recreation and dozens of hands-on enrichment classes as the New Glarus School District's first Summer School session concluded Thursday.
From soccer and swimming to clay crafts, therapy dogs and life skills, New Glarus Summer School wrapped up its first 2026 session after giving K-12 students a diverse mix of academics and enrichment that kept learning active throughout the first half of summer.
The School District of New Glarus has completed the first session of its 2026 Summer School program, with students in kindergarten through 12th grade spending the past two weeks participating in a wide range of academic and enrichment activities. The session ran June 15-25 and was designed to help students continue learning while enjoying unique summer experiences.
Summer School operated Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., combining the district's Ready, Set, Grow academic program with elective courses that allowed students to explore new interests beyond the traditional classroom.
